Now you have greater control over your zoom options with the Magnification tool in Eden PACS.

This feature lets you control your zoom level and the region of the study you want to view, using adjustable boxes. This gives you the flexibility to move quickly through the study, viewing the detail you need in an instant. 

When using the Magnification tool, you'll view the study with a default magnification of x2. However, you can adjust this zoom level however you like, within a range of x1.2 to x4.8. To do so:

1. Select the Zoom tool from the toolbar or from your right-click menu. Choose the Magnification option.
2. Press the Ctrl key on your keyboard.
3. While holding the key, move your cursor up to increase the zoom level, or down to decrease it.

It's also possible to adjust the size of the box, or "magnifier," to view certain details with greater precision. To do so:

1. Select the Zoom tool from the toolbar or from your right-click menu. Choose the Magnification option.
2. Press the Shift key on your keyboard.
3. While holding the key, move your cursor up to increase the size of the box, or down to decrease it.

3. Verify information in Eden PACS before registering the patient

Before registering a new study, check in Eden Management whether the patient already has previous studies. If your institution does not have Eden Management, radiology technologists can search for the patient's name in Eden PACS, check whether previous studies exist and, if so, make sure that the patient's name and identifier match the earlier records. This will ensure proper traceability and allow the patient to access their Eden Portal with their complete historical information.

4. Manually correct in Eden PACS if necessary

If the above methods fail and a patient has already received their portal without seeing their previous studies, you can change it manually in Eden PACS. From the study list, in the "Edit Information" function, you can adjust the patient's identifier and name to link it with earlier records and ensure that Eden Portal contains a complete record.
